Wow... we've had Sun for 3 whole days and the neighbours daffodils and jonquils are out! lol

I hope it's warmer at your place as well... for August, it's been very mild up here - we've had quite a few days without having to heat the house in the evening, however that's because it's been raining!

I've spent August finally finishing off the Create It Yourself Mineral Cosmetic Kits and would love to have feedback about them on the website from those who have purchased them to date.  Silly me forgot to take photos of the Foundation & Blush bases when they were made up and before they went out the door, so will have to create some more to do so. 

As promised, this newsletter is about Creating Your Own Mineral Cosmetics that are gluten and paraben free. 

This came about because the very first natural mineral powder I was given I had a huge reaction to... upon investigation, it had wheat germ oil in and I'm allergic to wheat.  Some sources of Vitamin E oil also contain wheat and that has caught me out a few times as well because most labels don't name the source.  Ours is soy based so please note our products that do contain natural vitamin E do have soy in them - everything else is soy free.

I've spent the last 5 years trawling websites and buying books on making cosmetics and adapting all the recipes to using natural ingredients instead of all the synthetic ones available.  And it's been a journey.  I hope to publish my work next year when I've finished compiling all my photos.  The only product that contains nuts is the mascara as I didn't want to use silicon oil to prevent clumping.

Monthly Contest:
The winner of our 2nd contest (August) is Frances Anderson.  There were only 26 entries this month so the chances of winning were high, congratulations Frances for answering the question correctly.  We hope you find your pot of Soothing Chest Balm as soothing as we did.

This month's contest is one of our new Pure Indulgence Pamper Packs, and you get to choose which scent you would like when I contact you after the draw. The options are Floriental, Rosy Floral, Spicy Oriental or Warm & Woody.  The entry on this one is slightly different... Due to our last contest being won by someone who isn't registered on the site, I have no idea where in the world they are or how often they check their email.  So for this one I require you to login and review one of Amor's many products.  Once you have written your review, you are able to click on the Enter now... button and it will let you continue with your entry.  

Shipping and Payment of Orders:
As of today, 1st September, Fastway's shipping rates have gone up - I will hold my rates whilst I have tickets in stock, however prices will go up as the new labels come in.  
If you live in a Rural Delivery area, NZ POST now charge an extra $2.80 for rural deliveries, so in most cases I will now send these via Fastway Couriers (my local post office is a 7km round trip so unfortunately this pushes up costs as well - when I was in Northland, it was across the road).

Due to the slow processing time of manual credit card payments (it went from 2 days to 5 days at the Bank's end), I have converted over to PayPal.  This seems to be working well and I try to get invoices processed within 2 hours (even in the evenings as I'm usually still on here tweaking the website or updating my FaceBook pages)
