Description: 
Commonly known as St John’s Wort, hypericum oil assists the healing of wounds, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Colour:  Yellow

Aromatic Description:  Hypericum has very little scent characteristic of most carrier oils.

Common Uses: 
Hypericum infused oil is useful for the treatment of skin inflammations, nappy rashes or cracked nipples, open cuts and grazes, and is particularly soothing to inflamed nerves, making it helpful for the temporary relief of neuralgia, shingles and sciatica, as well as being an excellent massage oil base for the treatment of psoriasis and eczema. 

It is indicated for wounds where there is nerve tissue damage and is effective for sprains, burns and bruises.

Massage directly into the affected area as required or add to massage balms or oil blends.  Include at 10% in your massage blend.

Consistency:  Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils.

Absorption:  Hypericum Oil is slightly thinner than most oils and is highly penetrating with healing properties.

Shelf life:  Hypericum Oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight).  Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Cautions:  No known cautions.  Can stain clothing when applied undiluted.
