Botanical Name: Lavendula hybrid var grosso
Extraction Method: steam
Country of Origin: Australia
Lavandin is a hybrid plant developed by crossing true lavender (L. angustifolia) with Spike Lavender (L. latifolia). In general it is a larger plant than true lavender with woody stems. It’s scent is very similar to lavender though can be described as being a little sharper due to it's slight camphorous undertone.
Use it the same as Lavender and /or Spike Lavender.
Caution: Due to the high camphor content, Lavandin should be avoided during pregnancy and by those with epilepsy.
