Characteristics 
Juniper berry oil is 
pale yellow oil with a fresh, rich-balsamic, woody-sweet and pine needle-like odour reminiscent of evergreen oils distilled from dried and ground berries.  The berries are plucked once a year from the branches of the small bushy shrubs and trees, 1-11 metres in height growing at an altitude ranging from 2,682 to 4,694 metres in the Himalayan region.

Antirheumatic, antiseptic, carminative, diuretic

When to use: Juniper berry essential oil is credited as being a supportive, restoring, and tonic aid. Good oil for meditation. Popular oil in weight loss and detox blends, because it is diuretic, and considered purifying and clearing.

How to use
Bath, foot bath, compress, massage, ointment, skin care, direct inhalation, diffuser, oil vaporiser. 

Blends well with 
Clary sage, sandalwood, bergamot, geranium, marjoram. rosemary, chamomile, eucalyptus.
Note: Middle with a medium aroma strength.

Traditional usage
In traditional Indian medicine, the oil is applied externally to relieve rheumatic pain to counteract alopecia; as a styptic and to wounds.
