Leptospermum petersonii

Also known as Lemon Tea Tree, the oil distilled from the leaves of this tree is similar to the closely related manuka and tea tree, however with a lemony scent. 

Citratum is a strong antimicrobial and antifungal, and has been proven in clinical trials to have the ability to attack Candida albicans (Thrush) and Aspergillus fumigatus.  

The chemical profile is:

45-65% citral (neral + geranial)
21.6% citronellal
2-3% isopulegol, citronellol, geraniol
1.7% linaloöl traces of many other chemicals. 

Citratum can be irritating so should be blended with other ingredients and not applied directly to the skin. 

Its lemony scent is mentally uplifting and refreshing.
