Purified water is an essential component for healthy looking skin and hair, as it cleans and moisturises. It is also necessary to dissolve water-soluble ingredients in a product and therefore forms the base of most of Perfect Potion's products.

Glycerin soothes and moisturises the skin. It is a humectant (holds onto moisture) and is readily absorbed into the skin.

Sorbitol is an effective humectant for use in products to be left on the skin, such as moisturisers, as well as rinse off products to prevent drying.

Lavender Water is soothing, calming and antiseptic on the skin. It enhances skin tone, relieves redness, inflammation and irritation.

Also known as corn sugar gum. This polysaccharide is produced from the bacteria (Xanthomas campestris) being fermented with corn sugar. It is used as a thickener, emulsion stabiliser and gelling agent. It is also often used in foods.

Sclerotium Gum is a natural thickening agent that promotes hydration of the skin and the product itself. It also helps to stabilise the emulsion of other ingredients in a product.

Tocopherol is vitamin E and is a strong antioxidant. Vitamin E works to soften skin and reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.

Yarrow herbal extract has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties.

Food grade ethanol containing no denaturants.Helps mix oil- and water-based ingredients by acting as a solubiliser. Also helps to preserve products.

Lonicera caprifolium, Lonicera japonica

Honeysuckle extract has anti-microbial properties and is used as a preservative in Perfect Potion products. It is approved for use by the BDIH and COSMOS.

Citric acid naturally occurs in the human body and also in plants, especially citrus fruits. Regulates pH levels and helps preserve products.

Linalool is a natural component of essential oils such as Lavender.

Geraniol is a natural component of essential oils such as geranium, lavender, rose and palmarosa.

A moisturiser, supplying moisture directly to the epidermis. It is renowned for its soothing and calming effect on burns, and reducing skin redness.

The fresh scent of juniper berry is cleansing and purifying. It promotes vitality and enhances inner vision.
