Ear candles are like a tapered chimney, made of cotton and coated with beeswax. They have a wick at one end, which is lit, and a small hole in the other, which fits snugly into the ear. They have 3 safety devices for the users protection - a filter, a protective disc and a flame-breaking ring.
In most cases, 1 pair of ear candles will do one treatment, however some people may need to have a 2nd or 3rd candling for optimum benefit over a 2-3 month period, especially swimmers and those who suffer from ear infections and sinusitis.
Ear candles should not be used by anyone who has perforated eardrums, grommets, acute ear infections or artificial eardrums. Do not use if you have a skin allergy to beeswax or propolis.
