Our Beeswax is organic, although not certified. Our supplier has their own hives up in Northland near Wharanaki, where the bees live in virgin native coastal bush.
Warm, sweet and naturally scented, Beeswax is a natural substance obtained from the honeycomb of the honeybee.
Unrefined Beeswax is often used as a thickener, emulsifier or stiffening agent in various cosmetics, as well as for polishing furniture and carvings. It can also be used alone for making pure beeswax candles, working to improve a candle's colour and lengthen its burning time.
This beeswax has been filtered twice, and still has loads of propolis dotted throughout it. If you wish to filter it more, you can do this by heating it over a low heat (do not exceed 30 degrees C) and then strain it through a stocking/pantihose into either a clean milk carton or cupcake/muffin tins. Allow for 20% wastage if you wish to filter it.
I have approximately 10kgs available in this format at this price.
